Dutch tax climate among world’s worst
The Dutch lose almost 40% of their gross income in taxes, making the Netherlands one of the most heavily-taxed nations in a Mercer survey of 32 countries.
The Netherlands, in 27th place, comes ahead of Italy, Germany, Hungary, Denmark and Belgium. The highest placed EU member is the UK, in 14th position.
UAE, where there is no income tax, tops the list.
