Dutch not very environment-friendly

The Dutch emerge as the least environment-friendly nation according to research in eight EU countries by PR bureau Porter Novelli.

Only 29% of the Dutch said they consciously buy green products and only 24% said they want to learn how to contribute to a better environment, compared with an average of 55%.
The Dutch are also least likely to buy goods in recycled or organic packaging and are the least concerned about the environmental record of companies, the research shows.
The Portuguese emerged as the greenest nation.
