Anne Frank tree should stay, says tree group
The horse chestnut tree which Anne Frank wrote about in her WWII diaries and is set to be cut down next Wednesday is not in imminent danger of falling over, says the Dutch tree foundation.
Amsterdam Centrum borough council said earlier this week that the tree had to be chopped down immediately because it was a danger to the surrounding homes.
