Ahold shareholders get compensation
Shareholders who lost money when Aholds’ share price plunged in the wake of a US book-keeping scandal will begin to receive compensation today.
Ahold has agreed to pay out $1.1bn to investors worldwide. In the Netherlands, nearly 200,000 claims have been made. Claims of over €300 will be made in two instalments.
