Van der Moolen cuts US workforce by 25%

Stockbroker Van der Moolen is to reduce its US workforce by a quarter in an effort to cut costs.


The company’s earnings have been hard hit by the new NYSE trading system – it lost €14m in the first six months of this year, says ANP.
Van der Moolen reduced costs in the US by €12m in the first half of this year, and a further €8m reduction is planned for the second half, ANP said.
