Spend money on schools, says business
Some 80% of Dutch businessmen and women want the government to put more money into education, according to a survey for BNR radio.
Healthcare (54%) and transport (43%) were also singled out for extra spending. In return, the government should cut spending on defence (59%), aid (44%) and culture (28%), the survey showed.
Some 60% of the business leaders polled said they paid too much tax, saying an average of around 25% would be more appropriate than the 30% currently levied.
