Schiphol to stay in state hands

Schiphol airport is to remain fully in state hands, finance minister Wouter Bos said on Friday after the weekly cabinet meeting.


The airport authority has campaigned for years to be privatised, saying it is necessary for future expansion. Schiphol is owned by the government and Rotterdam and Amsterdam city councils.
