PSV Eindhoven beat Sparta Rotterdam 4-1 on Sunday to move into the lead of the Dutch premier football league, with a two-point lead over Ajax and Feyenoord.
Amsterdam’s Ajax beat Utrecht 1-0 after wasting a handful of chances while former league leader Feyenoord lost 2-0 at Twente Enschede on Saturday.
In the other matches, Alkmaar’s AZ ended a six-match losing streak by beating NAC Breda 3-2 and NEC Nijmegen, which had only scored twice in eight matches, beat Groningen 5-1.
