Netherlands beat Slovenia 2-0
The Netherlands came a step closer to qualifying for the European Championship with a 2-0 win over Slovenia in Eindhoven on Wednesday night.
But the Dutch performance was weak and greeted by jeers from the crowd, particularly in the second half. ‘We put on a minimal performance,’ coach Marco van Basten told reporters after the match.
Robin van Persie, Arjen Robben and Rafael van der Vaart were all injured.
