Gurkhas back up Dutch troops in Uruzgan
Nepalese Gurkha soldiers are providing Dutch troops in the Afghan province of Uruzgan with military backup, reports Tuesday’s Volkskrant.
The Gurkhas, who are part of the British army, have a ‘legendary’ reputation for toughness the paper says and are now being deployed in Afghanistan by Nato as a tactical reserve force.
