Five hurt in Amsterdam ferry collision

Five people have been injured following a collision between two boats on the North Sea Canal in Amsterdam on Monday morning, reports news service ANP. Three of those injured are in a serious condition according to rescue workers.


A military police boat and a Connexxion hydrofoil carrying passengers between Amsterdam and Velsen collided at around 8.15am. Four of the injured, including those seriously hurt, were passengers on the Connexxion ferry. The cause of the accident is unclear.
