PSV Eindhoven kept its one-point difference with the leader with a 3-1 victory over VVV. Ajax saw its gap with the top stretch to three points after a 0-0 draw against NEC Nijmegen, with NEC missing a penalty in the first half.
Arnhem’s Vitesse drew 2-2 against Almelo Heracles while Alkmaar’s AZ lost its fifth match in a row, losing 0-1 to SC Heerenveen.
