Liberal (VVD) councillors in Amsterdam want a ban on all languages apart from Dutch in the city’s polling stations, reports news agency ANP.

In addition, only people with a physical handicap should be given help to vote, the party says. The demand follows a critical city council report which says ethnic minority voters were often told who to vote for by friends and family.
