Dutch DJ best in the world
Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren has been voted best DJ in the world this year by readers of Britain’s DJ Magazine, knocking Holland’s other turntable maestro Tiësto into second place.
Dance music fans from 220 countries submitted a record 345,000 votes for the prestigious annual prize which is ‘the only list that matters; says Van Buuren’s manager, Maykel Piron.
Van Buuren finished second last year and Tiësto third – although the latter had asked fans to ease off a little after he had won the award in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
