Christian councillor sacked for fraud
The fundamentalist Christian party SGP has sacked one of its councillors in the fishing town of Urk after he was given community service sentence.
The councillor’s company was aklso fined €25,000 for its role in a massive fish quota fraud. The party says the convictions are at odds with its strict adherence to biblical principles.
