Breast cancer deaths down

Deaths from breast cancer have dropped again, according to figures released by the central statistics agency CBS on Monday.


In the first six months of 2007, 1,600 women died from breast cancer, a 5% decrease on the same period in 2006.
The average age of women to die of breast cancer was 69, three years older than 10 years ago. The CBS says the breast cancer death rate has gone down by 20% over the past 10 years.
