Biggest rise in supermarket sales for a year
Supermarket sales rose 5.5% in September compared to the preceding month representing the biggest monthly increase in the past year.
Total turnover in September was €2.18bn according to figures from market research bureau GfK which also show that 0.5% of this came from Sunday trading.
