The group A round of the UEFA Cup football tournament will open with a duel between Alkmaar’s AZ and FC Zenit St Petersburg in Russia on October 25.


Trainer Louis van Gaal’s team will face a Russian team trained by fellow Dutchmen Dick Advocaat and Cor Pot.
AZ will then take on Greece’s Larissa at home on November 29 and the UK’s Everton on December 20.
