ASMI books higher earnings, fewer orders
ASM International, which supplies machinery for the micro-chip industry, booked net profit of €15.8m in the third quarter of this year, up 6% on the previous quarter.
The company’s order portfolio has risen 13% in the quarter to almost €200m but this is around €25m below market expectations.
