Aid minister backs new World Bank president

Development aid minister Bert Koenders is positive about the course the new World Bank president Robert Zoellick will take, news agency ANP reports on Monday.

The minister watched Zoellick in action during the bank’s annual meeting and told ANP that ‘the credibility of the bank is beginning to recover’.
Zoellink succeeded Paul Wolfowitz as World Bank president earlier this year, after Wolfowitz was forced to resign following charges he had given favourable treatment to his girlfriend.
