Unions demand higher taxes for well-off

Trade union federation FNV disagrees with the way in which finance minister Wouter Bos wants to tackle top salaries and has come up with an alternative plan, according to Monday’s Financieele Dagblad.

The FNV wants income tax for salaries above €185,000 a year to be raised to 60%, the paper says. The wealth tax for the well-off should be doubled to 2.4%.
