Rotterdam port books higher earnings

The Port of Rotterdam has seen operating profits rise by €7m to €93m in the first half of this year, compared with the first six months of 2006.


Net profit was more or less stable at €56m. Announcing its figures on Monday, the port authority said the positive results were due to higher turnover and cost savings. The number of ships using the port was up 5% at 18,400.
