Housing corportions angry over tax

A number of housing corporations are considering pulling out of the social housing system following the government’s decision to make them pay corporate taxes, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Friday.

If the corporations leave the public sector, they will be treated as private companies and would have to pay less tax than the cabinet now wants, the paper says.
‘It would save us several million euros a year,’ Gerard Andriessen, director of the AWV housing corporation told the paper.
