The supervisory board at football club FC Utrecht has resigned after the courts reinstated club chairman Jan-Willem van Dop.
The board had accused Van Dop of financial mismanagement and failing to communicate his plans properly. Van Dop was backed by the club’s main sponsor, project developer Phanos, which wants to invest €40m in the club over four years in exchange for development rights.
