Candover extends Stork share deadline

UK investment house Candover, which is facing strong opposition from an Icelandic group in its efforts to take over Stork, has extended the deadline for shares to be tendered until September 18.


The Icelandic group LME, backed by food machinery maker Marel, has bought up over 43% of Stork’s shares. It wants to take over Stork’s food machinery division. The two sides are in talks about the stalemate.
