Amsterdam could go Microsoft-free

Amsterdam may become the third city in Europe (after Munich and Vienna) to have a Microsoft-free city council following a successful first experiment in using free software.


The city and borough councils have a combined 16,000 computers which would need to be adapted within the next five years.
