Youth arrested for attack on ex-Muslim

Police have arrested a 17-year-old youth from Leidschendam in connection with the attack on Labour councillor and chairman of the ex-Muslim committee Ehsan Jami earlier this month.

The youth was arrested following information from Jami and is expected to appear in court on Friday morning, reports ANP news service.
Further arrests have not been ruled out, said the public prosecution department.
Jami is believed to have been punched and kicked by three men with ethnic minority backgrounds outside his local supermarket in Voorburg on August 4.
