Mecom expands Wegener stake to 30%

British media group Mecom has increased its stake in Dutch publishing house Wegener to 20.5%. Mecom, owned by British newspaper man David Montgomery, plans to take over the entire company but said last week it would launch an official offer by August 28 at the latest.
