Some 9,000 households in the Utrecht area are without water on Tuesday morning as a result of a fault in supply pipes, reports ANP news agency.
Water company Vitens closed off the pipeline serving Lopik, Montfoort and Oudewater last night for maintenance work but could not re-connect supplies this morning. Vitens hopes the problem will be solved by the end of the day.
