Travel agents have been buying in extra aircraft seats and hotel beds on a massive scale as people try to book last-minute sun holidays, the Telegraaf reports on Friday.

Louis Frankenhuis of the Oad group told the paper it had never been so busy at his company’s 225 agencies. Online agency Elmar told the paper that twice as many bookings were made in the first two weeks of July as there were last year.
