Akzo Nobel given more time for ICI takeover bid
Chemical concern Akzo Nobel has been given more time to bring out an official bid to takeover its British rival ICI, the Dutch company announced on Thursday afternoon.
The original deadline of 6pm today has been extended to Monday morning 11am, reports ANP news agency.
The two firms reached a provisional agreement for €11.9bn (670 pence per ICI share) earlier this week.
