Zalm not interested in top IMF job

Ex-finance minister Gerrit Zalm is not interested in heading the International Monetary Fund because he doesn’t want to move to the US.

Zalm, who was finance minister for 12 years, told Financieele Dagblad: ‘My wife and I live in The Hague…. unless the IMF moves to The Hague, I’m not interested.’
The current finance minister Wouter Bos says it is a pity Zalm does not want to apply for the job which becomes free in October.
