Utrecht books highest provincial growth
Economic growth in the province of Utrecht rose 4.2% in 2006, making it the most successful province in the country.
Flevoland booked the second highest growth, at 3.6%. The nationwide average was 3%. The figures were published today by the national statistics bureau CBS.
Groningen was the only province where economic growth fell and this was due to lower natural gas production, said the CBS.
