The Dutch spent around €26bn on home tourism in 2006, a rise of 4.2% over 2005, according to the national statistics office on Monday.
The figure is almost back to its 2001 level, after falling during the economic decline between 2001 and 2004.
Hospitality took the largest share with a 38% increase, followed by products like caravans, camping and sports equipment with 28%.
