Seven Dutch soldiers injured in Afghanistan
Seven Dutch soldiers were wounded in a suicide bomb attack in the southern Afghan province of Uruzgan on Tuesday, reports ANP news service. According to a spokesman for the Nato troops in Afghanistan a number of the injured are in a serious condition and one is critical.
Six civilians were killed in the attack and others injured.
The cabinet is currently discussing whether it will allow Dutch troops to remain in Afghanistan after its current mandate expires in August 2008. The Netherlands has 1,600 troops in the country. Eight soldiers have died in Afghanistan.
