Some 600 firms will be subject to investigation by the labour inspectorate this summer to see if they are treating young temporary workers properly.
The inspections will focus on the safety of young workers in the retail trade, the agriculture and catering sectors. A similar campaign last year concluded that a quarter of companies were breaking the law.
