The police officer shot in an Apeldoorn shopping centre while off duty on Monday night is still in a ‘very serious’ condition in hospital, a police spokesman said on Tuesday morning.

The policeman was shot several times by a man, who then cycled off. Shortly before the incident, the officer had reported a ‘suspicious situation’ to colleagues, ANP reported.
