Major effort to end Roermond factory blaze

Firemen and fire engines from several provinces and Germany were called in to help fight a massive blaze at a factory in Roermond on Tuesday.

No injuries have been reported but fears that the fire would spread led to the evacuation of three adjoining businesses on the industrial estate, reports ANP.
The fire started just after midday following three loud explosions in a factory which makes cooling equipment. According to the company’s director, the fire has caused tens of millions of euros worth of damage. Some 110 people work at the Koma factory.
