Iceland’s Marel ups stake in Stork

Icelandic industrial group Marel has increased its stake in Dutch engineering group Stork to 16.9% followig the takeover bid by UK venture capital group Candover.


Last week Stork agreed to be taken over by Candover on condition that 80% of the shares outstanding are tendered.
Dissident shareholder Delta Lloyd, which says Candover’s offer is too low, and Marel now have over 20% of Stork’s shares between them.
