Holiday traffic could cause delays on roads

Drivers are being warned to expect delays on Dutch roads on Friday as over one million people start their summer holidays.

According to motoring organisation ANWB, some 600,000 holiday-makers will be travelling to foreign destinations making roads extra busy.
The organisation also recommends drivers avoid the Nijmegen area to the east of the country because it is the final day of the traditional four-day march which tens of thousands of people are taking part in.
And in Tilburg huge crowds are expected for the annual fair which takes place throughout the city centre. The fair is said to the biggest in the Benelux.
