Getronics is in exclusive takeover talks with an un-named US company, the Dutch IT firm announced on Tuesday. Further information will be made public at the presentation of its first-half figures on August 29.

Rumours have been circulating for months that a number of companies are interested in buying Getronics. The company is coming under increasing financial pressure and is selling off loss-making units.
