A woman who drove after the 19-year-old man who snatched her bag when he tried to flee on a moped, crushing him to death against a tree, will face criminal charges after all, the public prosecution department said on Friday.

The incident took place in early 2005, but the investigation has only now been concluded, the OM said. The woman, 46-year-old Germaine Chin Ten Fung, was arrested at the time but freed because of lack of evidence.
The family of Ali el Bejjatti went to court earlier this year, urging the OM not to drop the case because of its seriousness.
