US embassy move a step nearer
The Hague city council has approved the procedures for moving the American embassy to a new, more secure location in Wassenaar.
The new embassy, due to open in 2010, will be situated on four hectares of land away from the main road. The council is looking for new locations for the site’s current occupiers, sports clubs and a dog-owners group.
