Serious police corruption probe launched

An investigation has begun into a ‘very serious’ case of corruption within the national detective squad, the Telegraaf reports on Tuesday.

The paper says last week’s arrest of ex detective Martin de B. has uncovered a web of corruption, including the leaking of extremely sensitive information to underworld figures in return for cash.
Martin de B was arrested last Monday and has been held in isolation since then.
