Pupils positive about community service
Six out of 10 secondary school pupils are positive about the introduction of a compulsory three-month community service placement for all pupils.
One in six of the 1,500 pupils polled by government researchers said they were totally opposed.
The cabinet announced last week that all secondary school pupils will go on a three month placement, starting with next year’s intake.
