Pollution causes 21,000 deaths in Holland

Some 21,000 deaths in the Netherlands, or 14% of the total, are caused each year by environmental pollution, according to a report published by the World Health Organisation on Wednesday.


Around 3,600 people die due to air pollution, which causes cardiovascular disease, cancer, respiratory complaints and accidents.
