Over 100,000 people have signed a petition calling for a parliamentary inquiry into events surrounding Dutch support for the invasion of Iraq.

The petition will be handed to the upper house of parliament (senate) on July 3, the day it debates Dutch military involvement in future conflicts. A majority of MPs in the lower house are against an inquiry, which was also ruled out in the new government’s coalition agreement.
