No counter bid made for Stork

Engineering group Stork said on Wednesday it has not received notice of a counter bid following yesterday’s $1.5bn offer from UK investment house Candover.

The spokesman was responding to media reports that a number of Stork shareholders and private equity groups were preparing counter offers.
Delta Lloyd has already said it will not sell its 5.2% stake in Stork to Candover and the Financieele Dagblad reports that Icelandic firm Marel, which holds 11%, is also unwilling to sell.
