Fewer Dutch with dual nationality

The number of people with double nationalities has fallen over the past four years, largely because fewer people are opting to become Dutch through naturalisation, according to national statistics office CBS.

Over a million people (out of a total population of 16 million) in the Netherlands currently have dual nationality. Almost half of these have Turkish or Moroccan passports as well as Dutch. Next on the list of dual nationality Dutch are the Germans and British.
