The man suspected of Monday’s triple shooting in central Melbourne – in which a Dutch tourist was shot three times – has handed himself in to Victoria police.

Meanwhile, the Dutch victim, Paul de Waard, remains in a serious condition in the Royal Melbourne Hospital. De Waard, who comes from Middelburg, was shot as he tried to stop the gunman dragging a women from a taxi by her hair. Another man was shot dead during the incident.
Tributes have been made to both men’s bravery.
